8. Roanoke

Which theory best explains what happened to the lost colony of Roanoke?

The theory that best explains what happened to the lost colony of roanoke is that the settlers went to a different and better location which is now called salmon creek in Virginia. I think this is the better theory because, first of all, the colony of roanoke wasn't abandoned but it was dismantled. That probably means that the settlers didn't leave in a rush but they took all of their supplies with them. Also, in one of white's maps, there are two patches over the map. When the researchers took them apart, they found a star over modern day lemon creek, which means there was another fort. This connects to class because in class we have been using evidence to make hypothesis and theories. This was the sam thing the english were doing back in colonial times.

  1. Remember to use color to distinguish between the A, C and E. At least skip a line to separate them. (Also, this is post #8.)
